Ascension Parish is selling t-shirts to represent our church community. Each shirt cost $20, will all funds going to support our parish youth ministry. Contact Lizzie at youth@shboone.com to make an order by September 13th.

Summer quickly passes as we are accustomed to expect. And with the nearing of September, the new school year begins. 

After a short summer break (July) our parish Finance Board will gather this week for its monthly meeting.  By Diocesan mandate each parish must have a Finance Board from five to eight members—with exceptions—meeting no less than four times a year.  After a short summer break (July) our parish Finance Board will gather this week for its monthly meeting. 

We welcome Emily Schieltz as our new Ascension Parish Director.  For the past year she has served on the Parish Finance Board and I asked her to replace Gaylia Ostermeier who is ‘retiring’  as a long time parish director. 

Ascension parishioners are invited to join us for our 10 a.m. annual outdoor Mass & parish picnic on September 8th at the Herman Park Pavilion in Boone. More details to come.
