“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9). St. Augustine said it is easier to describe what God is not then to describe what God is. And Pope Paul VI took it a bit further: “Mystery is a reality imbued with the hidden presence of God.”
With the diocese assigning each parish a missionary visit annually, we will host Fr. Charles Colling, ordained from the Jaffna Diocese of Sri Lanka. Presently he is providing ministry at Our Lady of Good Health Parish, Toronto, Canada.

St. Paul exhorts the Roman Christians in our second reading, “The commandments, ‘you shall not commit adultery, you shall not kill, you shall not steal, you shall not covet, and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Next weekend (Sunday, Sept. 10th, 10am) we will have the “Outdoor Mass” at the shelter, McHose Park.
