On Sunday, September 10th, the 10 AM Mass will NOT be held in the church, instead it will be held at Herman Park Pavilion. In the event of rain, it will be held in the church.
Our schools have opened their doors to a new year of learning in the midst of some very warm weather. (I remember sitting in the classroom at St. Joseph Catholic school with just a single fan blowing the hot, humid air.

As the new school approaches and families take their last vacations, just a few notes on parish “stuff.” St. Malachy is in the process to replace their old HVAC units with updated, efficient models.
On a few occasions during the Church year the “ordinary” Sunday readings are interrupted for significant “holy day.” We have such an occurrence this weekend as the “Eighteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time” is displaced with the holy day, “Transfiguration of the Lord.”
