Fourteen young second graders will receive their First Holy Communion this Sunday afternoon at St. Malachy Church. As witnessed last Sunday afternoon with First Communion at Sacred Heart, families are the foundation of faith.
Welcome to the reception of the Eucharist, those who will receive their First Holy Communion this weekend at Sacred Heart and next Sunday at St. Malachy. Your desire mixed with a bit of anxiety gives us adults a pause to again recognize the grace in the real presence we too often take for granted.
We welcome Bridget Biersner, Chad Cosens, Kelle Miller, and Robert Michael Murphy into our Catholic faith and Sacramental life. They each made a commitment to attend the RCIA sessions each week beginning in September, culminating with their Profession of Faith this Easter weekend.
Entering Holy Week, our summit as Catholic-Christians—thank you to parishioners who will offer their time and faith musically, as lectors and altar servers, ushers and greeters, Eucharistic Ministers at Mass and to the homebound, those who decorate our sanctuary and church interior reflecting the grace these special days, sacristans preparing the Altar, those who clean our church, and those who create a welcoming space to all just by their presence and faith. Thank you!
